Breakfast Bagel Sandwich

Switch up your breakfast routine with this hearty bagel sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 2 patties sausage or bacon
  • 2 whole grain bagels sliced in half
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 slices cheese
  • 1 large avocado sliced or mashed
  • 1 cup spinach

Instructions

  • Wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds.
  • Prepare meat in skillet, according to package directions. Remove from skillet, drain fat but don’t wipe out skillet. Place bagels sliced-side down in skillet and toast over medium heat until lightly browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • Wash the counter and utensils that touched the raw meat. Wash hands with soap and water after handling raw meat.
  • Scrub the avocado with a clean vegetable brush under running water. Dry and slice or mash; set aside.
  • Place bagels sliced-side down in skillet and toast over medium heat until lightly browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • Cook eggs in same skillet to your liking. Layer each breakfast sandwich as you like, serve and enjoy!
