Fruit Salsa

This refreshing blend of fruits makes a sweet side dish or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries diced
  • 1 banana peeled and diced
  • 1 kiwi peeled and diced
  • 1 apple cored and diced
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds.
  • Gently rub all fruit under cold running water. Carefully spread the berries in a single layer on a tray or baking sheet lined with paper towels. Pat the berries dry with another paper towel.
  • Dice the strawberries. Peel and dice the banana and kiwi. Core and dice the apple.
  • Combine all the fruit in a medium mixing bowl and add lemon juice.
  • Stir in sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Mix well.
  • Refrigerate until serving time.
