In a large bowl, mix apples with water, cinnamon, lemon juice, honey, orange juice, and vanilla until evenly coated.<\/p><\/li><li>Pour into a 9&#215;13 inch pan and spread out evenly. Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Bake in oven for 45 minutes. Remove from oven, uncover, and stir. Put cover back on tightly and bake for another 45 minutes.<\/li><li>Remove from oven. Let cool for a few minutes, then mash with a potato masher until chunky. If a smoother consistency is desired, place into a food processor and pulse.<\/li><li><p>Serve warm or cold. Place in an airtight container and refrigerate. Applesauce will keep up to 2 weeks.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Tips! Make a large batch, divide, and freeze to have homemade applesauce all year long! This recipe can also be made in a slow cooker instead of the oven.
