Capturing the history and untold stories of Wyoming and Arizona landowners and land managers was one objective of the project. Retirement of very experienced rangeland managers is expected to continue for the next several years. Whether ranchers that have been on the land for many generations or government employees that have served the public for many decades, capturing their experiences and perspectives is important to preserving part of the history of Wyoming’s land stewardship. In an effort to capture this critical loss, numerous video interviews were conducted. A variety of formats, including websites, videos and podcasts were utilized to disseminate these untold stories.

University of Arizona, in partnership with the University of Wyoming on this project, also conducted numerous interviews gathering local knowledge from various land managers.
